Avoiding a DUI / DWI charge
Driving intoxicated or impaired is against law. The best way to avoid a DUI / DWI charge is simply not to drink and drive. If you drink socially on occasion, you should educate yourself about blood alcohol content levels (BAC) to familiarize yourself with the effects of alcohol on your body. When you do go out and drink, designate a driver, take a cab or call a friend. If you are a repeat offender or have a drinking problem, you should enroll in an alcohol evaluation and treatment program. If you are arrested for driving under the influence you may be able to successfully defend against a DUI charge.
